Application Deadline for 2014 Â鶹ÊÓƵOutstanding Student Chapter has been Extended

The application deadline for the 2014 Â鶹ÊÓƵOutstanding Student Chapter has been extended to Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. Â鶹ÊÓƵLeadership recognizes what a busy time of year May is for students and in order to best accommodate our students the deadline has been extended. The award was designed to recognize and reward Â鶹ÊÓƵStudent Chapters for their dedication to community and public service projects. All Â鶹ÊÓƵStudent Chapters are encouraged to submit an application to showcase their work in the community during the 2013-14 academic year. There is no cost to apply, however we do ask that all submissions be submitted using PDF; applications that do not use this form will not be considered. Winners will receive cash prizes - $1,500 for first place, $750 for second place, $400 for third place - a certificate and an opportunity to give a presentation on their project during the 96thÌýÂ鶹ÊÓƵAnnual Convention in San Juan, PR in March 2014. All applicants shouldÌýprovide a brief description ofÌýone key activityÌýundertaken between Aug. 15, 2013 and May 1, 2014,Ìýthat was performed for the benefit of the local community.Ìý Descriptions should convey the project’s impact on the community.Ìý In past years, student chapters have submitted applications for such projects as working on an Extreme Makeover Home Edition; helping with post-Hurricane Katrina cleanup; making a house handicapped accessible; constructing a therapeutic riding facility; and building a greenhouse for a high school. Please note that you may only apply one time for one project; so if a project is begun during one school year and completed the next, you may choose only one year to apply. CompleteÌýÌýand aÌýÌýare available on AGC’s website. All applications and supplemental materials are now due by 5 p.m. EDT onÌýFriday, Oct. 10, 2014.
