鶹ƵPraises House and Senate Leadership on Passage of WRDA

Washington D.C.—鶹Ƶ of America (AGC) today praised the leadership of Chairwoman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Ranking Member James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Chairman James Oberstar (D-Minn.) and Ranking Member John Mica (R-Fla.) for their steadfast support of WRDA. This necessary and overdue legislation supports flood control, navigation and water resources provisions critical to the nation’s infrastructure.

“We hope that the President will recognize the overwhelming bipartisan support for updating the nation’s water infrastructure in this post-Katrina environment,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, chief executive officer of AGC. “This bill offers an opportunity to set priorities and establish new standards that will improve our nation’s commitment to investing in the necessary U.S. flood control, navigation and water quality water resources infrastructure. This bill is long overdue and we hope the President will sign it.”
